In 2021, I joined forces with my friends at Happy Lucky for an incredible project during Hispanic Heritage Month for Adidas Los Angeles. Our goal was to showcase the outstanding work of Bay Davis, a talented Afro Latinx artist with a passion for empowering and uplifting low-income and trans community members in South Central Los Angeles. I had the privilege of illustrating and art directing the "Porch Poetry" event, which was a captivating open mic poetry session featuring Bay Davis and their talented friends. As a complement to the event, I also created a Zine that showcased a collection of powerful poems written by Bay Davis. Together, we aimed to celebrate and honor the richness of Hispanic heritage while shedding light on the important issues affecting our community.
